A 32-year-old woman from Waterloo was seriously injured in a crash early Saturday morning. The collision occurred around 6:10 a.m. at the intersection of University Avenue East and Weber Street North, involving a Toyota pickup truck and the pedestrian.
The woman was taken to the hospital with serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries. The driver, a 53-year-old man, was unharmed. As a result of the incident, Weber Street North was partially closed for several hours while police investigated.
