Provincial police report that whiteout conditions caused a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte on Tuesday morning, disrupting traffic for hours. The three-vehicle collision occurred just before 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes between Line 4 and Penetanguishene Road. High winds and blowing snow reduced visibility, leading to the crash.

Emergency crews attended the scene, and the southbound lanes were closed for about two hours for cleanup. Minor injuries were reported, and paramedics treated those involved. The highway has since reopened, but police continue to advise residents to avoid travel if possible.
