A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal head-on collision in Mississauga in September that killed a garbage truck driver.
The crash occurred on Derry Road, east of Goreway Drive, on September 26, involving a transport truck and a garbage truck. Both drivers were critically injured, with the garbage truck driver later dying in the hospital.
The transport truck driver now faces charges under the Highway Traffic Act, including careless driving causing death and failing to surrender a daily log. Police are still seeking information from the public.
