Traffic on Highway 400 was halted Tuesday afternoon after a crash involving a transport truck, a garbage truck, and several other vehicles near Dunlop Street and Simcoe Road 90 in Barrie.
The collision, which occurred around 4 p.m., caused hazardous fluids to spill across multiple lanes. Fire crews and the Ontario Provincial Police responded, with a hazmat team deployed for cleanup.
Deputy Fire Chief Eric MacFadden confirmed there were no injuries. As of the latest update, the two right lanes remain closed as crews clear the scene.
