An elderly couple from Midland, Ont., died in a three-vehicle crash on County Road 27, near Flos Road 11 East, around 11:55 a.m. on Saturday. The victims, an 80-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and one was sent to a Toronto-area trauma center. The road remained closed for most of the day while the OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Team investigated.
Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers. The road reopened on Sunday.
