A head-on collision in New Tecumseth on Friday morning claimed the lives of three people in their 20s. Emergency crews responded to the crash on Tottenham Road near Alliston just before 6 a.m., involving a passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck.
The vehicles collided while traveling in opposite directions. A 25-year-old man from Brampton, driving the passenger vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. A week later, police confirmed the deaths of two additional passengers from Brampton, a 25-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man. The pickup truck driver was not seriously injured.
The area was closed for several hours for the investigation, which remains ongoing, and the cause of the crash is still unclear.
