A multi-vehicle collision in Etobicoke on Monday sent one person to a trauma center and several others to the hospital, according to paramedics. The incident occurred just before 3:10 p.m. at Islington Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard.

Paramedics reported that one person was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while another was sent to a trauma center. Multiple others were also transported to the hospital, though the exact number remains unconfirmed.

Police arrested a male driver at the scene, who was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. At least six vehicles were involved in the crash, with large debris scattered across Lake Shore Boulevard. One SUV had its back left tire torn off, and another sedan had its front hood severely damaged.

The area is currently closed off as authorities investigate.
