Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a head-on collision on Highway 11 near Driftwood that occurred around 7:45 p.m. on February 26. The crash involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle, sending the driver of the passenger vehicle to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders had to extract the driver before they were transported by ambulance. The highway was closed for about two hours, with partial reopening for an additional two hours before full clearance at midnight.
The cause of the crash and the driver’s condition have not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
