A 52-year-old truck driver from Mississauga was charged with careless driving after his truck crashed into a ditch in Sudbury early Thursday morning. The incident took place around 3:40 a.m. on the Highway 69 off-ramp to Highway 17 West.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded, and the road was shut down for over four hours while crews investigated and removed the truck.
OPP reminded drivers to reduce speed before curves, as excessive speed can lead to loss of control. They also cautioned motorists to be aware of potential hazards like gravel, water, and wildlife on the roads.
