A fatal crash in Caledon early Sunday morning has left one person dead, and a driver facing charges of impaired driving. The collision occurred on Bramalea Road, near Boston Mills Road, shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Three people were in the vehicle at the time. A 21-year-old Brampton man was killed at the scene, while a 20-year-old Brampton man was taken to a Toronto-area trauma center with life-threatening injuries. The 23-year-old driver, also from Brampton, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested after police determined he was impaired by alcohol.

The driver has been charged with impaired operation causing death, impaired operation causing bodily harm, and obstructing a peace officer. The road was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
