Provincial police are investigating a serious three-vehicle collision that occurred Monday morning around 7 a.m. on Highway 7 in Kawartha Lakes, between Slanted Road and River Road.

A 21-year-old Peterborough man sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a trauma centre. Two other drivers—a 74-year-old from Fenelon Falls and a 59-year-old from Cameron—were taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward as the investigation continues.
