A fatal crash on Highway 11 in northern Ontario on April 12 left one person dead and two others injured. The collision between a commercial vehicle and a passenger car occurred in Greenstone around 11:30 a.m.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, though their identity has not been released. A passenger in the commercial vehicle and its driver were both hospitalized, but their injuries’ severity is unclear.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police do not expect charges to be filed. Highway 11 was closed for more than eight hours due to the incident. Greenstone is located about 250 kilometers northeast of Thunder Bay.
