One person is in critical condition after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Whitby on Friday morning. Emergency crews responded to the collision on Lake Ridge Road near Peleshok Drive, where both vehicles suffered severe front-end damage.
The injured person was taken to a Toronto trauma center in life-threatening condition. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and Lake Ridge Road will be closed for several hours. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
