A multi-vehicle collision involving over 24 vehicles occurred on Highway 12 in Ramara Township Thursday afternoon, caused by poor weather conditions. The crash took place just before 1 p.m. south of Brechin, between Concession 1 and Concession 3.

High winds and blowing snow created whiteout conditions, making driving hazardous. Emergency responders, including Simcoe County paramedics and Ramara firefighters, attended to the scene. Four individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and delay travel if possible, and to ensure headlights are on in reduced visibility conditions.
