A 25-year-old driver from Brant County died in a crash on Tuesday evening. The County of Brant OPP, fire, and paramedics responded to a collision on Colborne Street West involving a sedan and SUV near the Brantford Municipal Airport at around 8:30 p.m.

The sedan driver, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Colborne Street West was closed for several hours between Highway 24 and McGregor Avenue for the investigation.

The OPP’s West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team is requesting that any witnesses or individuals with information reach out to Brant County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, with the possibility of earning a reward of up to $2,000.
