A man in his 30s faces charges of impaired driving after allegedly operating his vehicle in the wrong direction on the Gardiner Expressway and subsequently falling into a hole late Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. near the Exhibition GO station, where the driver of a grey Honda was traveling west in the eastbound lanes and entered a construction area that was closed. The car fell into a hole, landing on its roof on Strachan Avenue close to the Coca-Cola Coliseum.

When police arrived at the scene, the driver was outside the vehicle, and there were no other passengers. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported. Police are advising the public to exercise caution in the area, and the investigation is ongoing.
