A driver has been charged in connection with a car collision that killed a 14-year-old cyclist in eastern Ontario last summer. The incident occurred on August 30 when the cyclist, riding on the westbound shoulder of County Road 2 near Long Sault, was struck by a westbound car.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, the OPP charged a 46-year-old man from Ingleside with careless driving causing death. He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall’s Ontario Court of Justice in March.
