According to provincial police, a 24-year-old from Hamilton is in critical condition after being involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer early Saturday morning in Burlington. The accident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. in the Toronto-bound lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way, near North Shore Boulevard.

In a post on X, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a “car disabled in a live lane” was hit by the tractor-trailer. The driver of the truck did not experience any physical injuries. Burlington OPP expects to have one of the left lanes reopened by noon.
