On Friday afternoon, a multi-vehicle collision east of Kemptville, Ontario, led to one fatality and two injuries, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The police responded to the incident on County Road 43 near Van Buren Street shortly after 5:30 p.m.
In a news release issued on Saturday, the OPP detailed that an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line, sideswiping a westbound vehicle and then colliding head-on with another. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, identified as an 81-year-old man from Kemptville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. County Road 43 was closed following the incident and remained so until shortly after midnight.
