A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning in North York. The collision took place near Victoria Park and McNicoll avenues. Toronto police reported that around 1:30 a.m., a driver traveling southbound on Victoria Park Avenue struck a 49-year-old male pedestrian who was in the southbound curb lane. The driver then fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Traffic Services is currently investigating the incident. Toronto police are urging local residents, businesses, and drivers who may have security or dashcam footage of the area or the incident to come forward.
